Make free worldwide calls with your computer. If you want to test your setup call me at my skype address "kubany". Very easy to install (except maybe on a Mac) and the sound is often much better than on a regular telephone.

A free program from Microsoft (what a surprise) that works on Desktops but also on pocket PC's. The program comes in several languages. The reader lets you download and display a wide variety of books and many of them for free.

Great Google Downloads for searching your computer for files with Desktop Search or pictures with PICASA. You will not be able to live without the Toolbar (in your browser) or the Deskbar once you used them a bit.

See your house from space (at least if you live in New York or another well documented spot on this planet) Be superman, fly over cities and visit exotic locales such as Tokyo, Paris or Brooklyn.
